Wolffian Ducts

 In embryonic development, the Wolffian ducts (also known as mesonephric ducts) are structures that develop into male reproductive organs under the influence of androgens. In female embryos, these ducts typically regress, but remnants may persist and occasionally cause benign cysts. Understanding Wolffian and Müllerian duct development is key in diagnosing certain reproductive anomalies.
