Nabothian Cyst

A Nabothian cyst is a small, benign growth that forms on the surface of the cervix when mucus-producing glands become covered by skin cells and the mucus gets trapped. These cysts are typically asymptomatic and discovered incidentally during pelvic exams. They usually do not require treatment unless they become unusually large or symptomatic, in which case minor surgical drainage may be considered.
