Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to examine or operate on the organs inside the abdomen and pelvis. It involves making small incisions through which a laparoscope (a thin tube with a camera) and surgical instruments are inserted. Laparoscopy is commonly used in gynecology to diagnose or treat conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and fibroids. The procedure typically results in less postoperative pain, a shorter hospital stay, and quicker recovery compared to open surgery.
