Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)

An HSG is a diagnostic X-ray procedure used to assess the shape of the uterus and the patency of the fallopian tubes. A contrast dye is injected through the cervix, and fluoroscopy is used to track the flow. It is often performed as part of infertility workups to identify blockages, uterine anomalies, or scarring. Cramping may occur during or after the procedure.
