What is ovarian cancer?
Ovarian cancer arises when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably in the ovaries or surrounding tissues.
It is often called a “silent disease” because symptoms may be vague or dismissed until the disease is advanced.
Types of Ovarian Cancer
- Epithelial Tumors (90 % of cases): originate from the ovary’s surface lining.
- Germ Cell Tumors: in younger women, often highly chemo-sensitive.
- Sex Cord–Stromal Tumors: rare, may secrete hormones.
Every patient is different — our approach is tailored to the exact type and stage of your cancer.
